I'm pissed about the finish of the NASCAR race. NASCAR robbed Kurt Busch of the win because they felt there was something so dangerous on track that they had to call a caution with a lap and a half left. A LAP AND A FUCKING HALF! (I wanna know what the fuck it was) Then on the first GWC, Kyle Larson slid up and into the wall and the rear bumper cover flew off. Ok there is legit debris now. Then on the 2nd GWC, Biffle wrecks on the front stretch and NASCAR doesn't throw the yellow?!?! I love a good, exciting finish but the original finish was going to be fine. Kurt and Kevin were within .2 seconds of each other and were going to duel it out to the finish. Absolute bullshit.

Full disclosure: I am a Penske/Ford fan but man I hate to see a man get robbed.

I'm glad he didn't win, I don't want him in the chase. Also, they shouldn't have thrown the yellow on the Biffle wreck until they knew we wasn't gonna get going. The first caution was bullshit.

I dislike the whole GWC thing...the whole concept is distasteful to me. That said, it's an equal opportunity screwing. All the top guys have or will get screwed by it (and by the same token, they'll benefit from it at some point).

I agree, that was total horseshit. Heaven forbid NASCAR let Kurt win and be flamed by women groups during the week. They cannot play God and expect the audience to stick around.

but a car spins at the start/finish on the last lap and they don't throw the yellow. Luckily Biffle got going, but if he didn't I can't see them waiting for Keselowski to make the pass before throwing that flag.

Its an argument about consistency. NASCAR has thrown cautions for less on the final lap. They really need to get there shit together and put a stop to blatantly altering the finish of a race.

Ya by the time they would have thrown it, it wouldn't have mattered. But the race should have been over long before that point.

I understand that, I don't agree with that first caution, but I agree with them not throwing the FCY on the Biffle incident since he was able to get going again afterwards.

according to several sources on Twitter, Kurt Busch called NASCAR "WWE" over the radio when that phantom caution came out.

I like the idea, and yes everybody is trying to win under the same rules. The whole issue that has become of it is NASCAR throwing these phantom debris cautions that set up a GWC. The purpose was to allow the chance for a green flag finish when there was a wreck or oil where the race would have to be stopped to clean up within the last 10 laps. I hated to see a race basically be declared over with 8 laps left.

If you look at all the cautions in the last 2-3 years that have setup a GWC finish 80-90% of them have probably been for "debris" and 50% of those have been called with less than 5 laps to go.

Tossing a caution was probably a bit of an overreaction but it is what it is.

i saw that. That is a legit caution. But when talking about a small piece of plastic or metal with a lap and a half left, let them race and don't throw a caution.

This is not the first go round for this type of thing. Also don't watch NASCAR to see the officals officiating. Don't watch baseball to see the umpires either.
